Common Questions About Excavations for Home Construction in New York

Questions about excavation work for your new home or home addition project? We have answers below! Don't see your question? Get in touch and we'll be happy to help

Do I need excavation services if I'm not building a basement?

Yes! Even if you're not planning a basement or crawlspace, the ground still needs to be prepared to deliver a well-drained and secure surface to build on. Not only that, but your yard may require grading to ensure water doesn't pool and runs safely away from the house.

Is there any preparation I'll have to do before you visit?

Depending on the obstructions or access to your yard, there may be some preparation work needed before we arrive. That's why we'll do a site visit and walkthrough to identify any preparation that's required and prevent delays when it comes to work day!

How deep are you able to excavate?

Our machines are capable of excavating as deep as you need without any issues! We use a range of professional equipment to get the job done right, so you don't have to worry about us showing up to your project under-equipped or under-prepared.

Will you damage my landscaping or yard?

We aim to minimize the impact to any existing landscaping as much as possible. However, due to the nature of earth work, there may be areas of displaced soil. In these cases, our friendly team will fix any displaced soil and re-seed if needed.

What happens if you find underground lines or pipes?

Before we do any excavation work our team checks for the locations of underground utilities. However, there are times where a utility may not be marked on drawings. If we discover any unmarked infrastructure, we'll immediately stop to resolve the situation before continuing.

How can I get a price quote for my project?

It's easy, simply get in touch with us using the contact form below! Describe your project and our team will get in touch with you to determine your needs. You'll receive a clear quote that details work to be done and the cost. We pride ourselves on accurate and honest quotes.
