    Watch For Poisonous Plants

Here in Central New York we have a variety of toxic plants such as poison ivy, which can cause no end of misery if you encounter them when clearing your brush by hand. An easy way to avoid this is to work with a professional who has the right machines to clear brush quickly and safely.

  • Stumps & Tree Debris

Some people ask our team if we can bury stumps and other material from cleared forest. We do not recommend you do this, as it can result in long-term ground problems like sinkholes or poor drainage. The best solution for stubborn stumps and tree debris is to grind and mulch it!

  • Remove Brush, Don't Burn It

New York State prohibits the open burning of brush at certain times of the year to reduce wildfires. A better alternative to burning brush is to have us mulch or remove it. This keeps you in-line with the law and protects your property.

Common Questions About Brush Removal in New York

Questions about having your land cleared of brush and scrub? We have answers below! Don't see your question? Get in touch and we'll be happy to help

Can you clear brush that's in wet areas on my land?

Yes, but there are limits to how wet the site can be. With capable machines and experienced operators, we can work in a variety of conditions. Get in touch with our team and schedule a site visit to identify the suitability of your land for safe brush removal.

Why should I hire someone to clear my brush?

It's easier and more efficient! Clearing brush by hand or with rented equipment can take days, if not weeks, of back-breaking work. Plus toxic plants, biting insects, and sunburns. Working with us takes that off your plate and frees your time for more important things.

What happens to the brush you remove?

There's a few ways to manage removed brush, but we favor mulching. It's an eco-friendly way to manage plant and tree waste, plus can be spread to improve erosion control. Or, you can simply let it break-down into rich soil. We can also remove brush for disposal.

Could you just burn the brush you remove?

We don't recommend burning plant and tree waste. New York State prohibits open burning and limits the size of outdoor fires. This means you'd have to acquire permits and permission from different authorities. Mulching is a much easier, and safer, solution.

Do you remove Giant Hogweed plants?

No, we do not. Giant Hogweed is an extremely toxic and invasive plant that is being found across New York State. If you find this plant on your property, contact the New York Department of Environmental Conservation. They offer free removal and control of Giant Hogweed.
